For those of you who don't know me, I'm a professional educator at a community college in Northeast Alabama. Last year, I was tasked with adding supervision of my college's library to my existing job duties of serving as the LMS administrator and professional development coordinator. Not being a librarian by training, I'm sure you can imagine that this was an interesting challenge for me.
Since the college's accrediting body requires that library supervisors have library degrees (I'm sure you're shocked), I decided to go back to school to earn my Master's of Library and Information Studies at The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). Even though I have a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology that I finished in 2017, I thought to myself, "Self, what's another degree? You are a life-long learner and you can totes do this." I think most people think I've lost my mind and have the desire to be a professional student.
As a requirement for one of my Spring 2020 classes, we had to create a blog. I will attempt to keep the blog full of interesting content for anyone interested in higher education, educational technology, and other professional thing that runs across my screen. Feel free to follow me on social media and to comment on the blog.
