INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY
As an instructional technologist, I have a lot of opinions about apps that people use to teach. As a project for my MLIS degree, I had to construct a hand-coded website. The button below will take you to my website. Keep in mind, that because it had to be hand-coded, as opposed to using a content management system (CMS), it is rather primitive. That being said, it provides a great deal of information about my favorite educational apps.
Small business owner
I own a small antique store in beautiful historic Downtown Attalla, Alabama. Antiques are really more of my mother's hobby than mine. Running a business has been a rewarding experience that has had a positive effect on my growth as a professional and academic leader.
State Capitols
I have visited 36 of our 50 state capitol buildings. Visiting the capitols has been a goal of mine since I was a child. The images below depict some of my adventures.
U.S. National parks
Another goal of mine is to visit all of our nation's national parks. This goal is a little bit more daunting than the 50 capitols. The images below show you some of the beauty of our national parks.
Board games
My biggest hobby is board games. I have over 100 different unique board game titles. Many people don't realize how diverse the board game world really is. Tabletop gaming in this day and age goes way beyond Monopoly.
